“Lillies "

TERRY LUDWIG is the creator of the beautiful, handcrafted Ludwig Pastels. Frustrated with the lack of color options available and few choices for very soft pastels, Ludwig began experimenting with formulas for making his own pastels in 1995. His goal: create a vast array of color in pastels that were uniformly soft across all densities of hue. His result: over 500 intense colors, some of which are unavailable elsewhere, in a unique square pastel. As a highly sought-after workshop instructor, he fills his workshops with learning and laughter. See more of his work, as well as his line of highly concentrated, velvety pastels on his website. Ozark Pastel Society's "Passion for Pastels" show will be in Springdale AR (August 22 - Sept. 18) and associated workshop with Leslie B. DeMille in Rogers, AR, August 20-22. Download the prospectus here. There are many fine prizes such as Terry Ludwig and Unison pastel sets, a Cherry pastel cleaner, and a Guerilla plein air paint box.

The 5th Annual “The Girlie Show” is set for November 7 and 8, 2008 at the Farmer’s Public Market building near Downtown OKC. Sorry guys, but this is a show that features exclusively female artists and crafters; the show is juried with all participants selected by The Girlie Show committee. August-Fall Workshops :

The JERRY BROWN "Clouds" workshop over Memorial Day weekend was a huge success. See some of the student paintings here. Thanks, Jerry!

TERRY LUDWIG 3-day workshop August 15, 16 and 17th was an incredible success -- every workshopper had a great time. Click here for a few of the images created during the workshop.

Two CLIVE TYLER workshops: October 13, 14, 15 ($280 for OPS members and $330 nonmembers) and October 17 and 18 ($220 for members and $250 for nonmembers). Each class size limited to 10 people.
