Our monthly meeting is open to all members in good standing who have paid their dues. The meeting and demo will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. For an additional fee of $35 ($40 for non-members), there will be a mini-workshop from 1-4 p.m.

Charles Peer will provide the morning demonstration and lead the afternoon mini-workshop. Charles paints his native Arkansas as he explores his love of color. “I have a particular interest in color combinations that create a richness of surface, an inner glow or that make a painting ‘sing’. My goal is to combine the beauty of the landscape with the immediacy of drawing and the magic of interesting color. My chosen materials are soft pastels on a hand textured and painted surface. All of this is in an attempt to develop that color richness I am looking for.”
